And since the fight is possible to beat without summs, practicing and getting better is a way to win it. Originally posted by Pepii sama:I really like this fight, because you literally fight a god of battlefield of some sort, obviously lore wise the fight is perfect.
#ELDEN RING RADAHN PLUS#
The one plus is that when you get it right, it's actually quite a short fight. I agree though that this fight really doesn't have the epic feel I think they were going for (the silly little horse doesn't help!) and the only reason I can offer such detailed advice is that I spent a good hour or so banging my head against it. As soon as he vanishes, put as much distance as you can between yourself and the summons so he misses them, and resummon as needed before piling on for the second phase. As soon as they start beating on him, try to get behind him and hit him hard, and with a bit of luck you can force his second phase quickly. The other important thing is to kite Radahn towards the summons, because if he's chasing after you they often can't catch him. As soon as the third arrow is shot, mount and ride to the next set of summons, dashing to avoid the arrow rain and shotgun arrows, then stay mounted and head for the last summon to the left of Radahn, which has more cover. As soon as the arrow hits and destroys it, run forward and right to the second set of summons, which might require rolling an arrow, and grab them before sheltering from the next one. If you run on foot straight ahead at the beginning you can grab the first three summons and hide from his first arrow behind the rubble. There is a path at the beginning which helps. This is because the boss has a tendency to scoot around in circles a lot and because he's very vulnerable when you stay at his legs. He's CONSTANTLY in your screen with his cape, so it's impossible to see what moves hes performing. Try defeating him with claws (range of a knife) like I did and you'll see what I mean. The fight is wonderful in every way except for the actual pattern design. I was stuck on him for 3-4 hours until I got him with some luck and while helping other players vs him I noticed how better I got with dodging his attacks, so idk I really like this fight, because you literally fight a god of battlefield of some sort, obviously lore wise the fight is perfect. Can't blame the OP for hating this fight. If you can't see what is going on for almost the entire duration of the fight you've crossed the line into "bad design" territory for me.

"git gud" doesn't really apply when the boss is so horribly designed though.
